Commissioning is the structured process of bringing a robot cell from installed hardware to validated production: powering up, configuring the controller and I/O, teaching or loading programs, tuning, and running acceptance tests against agreed criteria.
Commissioning typically includes a factory acceptance test (FAT) before shipment and a site acceptance test (SAT) after installation, proving the cell meets cycle time, quality, and safety targets. Operator training and documentation handover close the phase.
